Here is another winter tonic recipe that is great for fighting those winter bugs. This all natural and herbal syrup tonic will help reduce and fight those colds, flu’s and other icky bugs.
3 1/2 cups of filtered water
1 cup of dried Elderberries ( 1 1/2 cups if fresh or frozen)
2 sticks of cinnamon
1-2 tbps of ginger
1 orange, sliced
Optional: Mint, Basil, Holy Basil, Thyme
1 cup of Honey
Bring water to boil and add all ingredients except the honey. Cover and reduce to simmer for 45 min to 1 hour. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Mash up mixture then strain well. Add honey and mix well. Bottle up and keep in refrigerator.
